Herdle CSAE Policy

Effective Date: 02 October 2026

Herdle Limited (“Herdle”, “we”, “us”) operates the Herdle app and website. Herdle is for adults aged 18 and over only. This policy sets out our standards against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE), including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), and how we respond to it.

1. Zero Tolerance

We have zero tolerance for CSAE of any kind on Herdle. This includes:

  • Creating, uploading, sharing or distributing CSAM.
  • Any content that sexualises, exploits, abuses or endangers a child.
  • Grooming, soliciting or attempting sexual contact with a child.
  • Using a plan, profile or chat to seek contact with a child, or to arrange for a child to be harmed in person.
  • Promoting, encouraging or making light of any of the above.

Any breach of this policy will result in the immediate and permanent removal of the account, and we will report it to the relevant authorities.

2. Under-18s

Herdle is for adults only. Users must confirm their date of birth when they sign up. If we believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we will remove it.

3. How We Detect and Respond

  • User reports: Anyone can report a user or plan using the Report function in the app. Child safety reports are reviewed by our team as a priority.
  • Action: When we find content or behaviour that breaches this policy, we remove it and permanently remove the account involved.
  • Preserving evidence: We securely preserve relevant account information so it can be provided to law enforcement, rather than deleting it.

4. Reporting to Authorities

We report suspected CSAM and CSAE to:

  • New Zealand Police
  • The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA)
  • The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States, and other relevant authorities where appropriate

We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations, including providing user information where the law requires or allows it.

5. Our Commitment

We regularly review this policy and our safety processes, and will add new tools and protections as Herdle grows.

Contact and Reporting

If you see anything on Herdle that you suspect involves the abuse or exploitation of a child, please report it straight away:

  • In the app: Use the Report function on the user’s profile or on the plan.
  • By email: Email hello@herdle.io with the user’s name, the plan, and when and where you saw it.

Please don’t screenshot, download, save or send us the content itself. Keeping or sharing this material can be an offence, even when you’re reporting it. Just tell us where you saw it and we’ll take it from there.

If a child is in immediate danger, call 111 in New Zealand, or your local emergency number if you’re elsewhere. You can also report directly to New Zealand Police on 105.
